Maybelline The Falsies Push up Angel Mascara

After solely using the Maybelline Lash Sensational (an amazing mascara btw) for over three months, I’ve been on the hunt for a new mascara, just to branch out a little bit. This Maybelline Falsies mascara caught my eye the last time I went in to Boots – thanks to its unique looking wand and the fact that I love love love Maybelline mascaras!

The wand
The wand is thinner than any other I have ever used before but I actually liked it a lot more than I thought I would. The fact that it was so small made it easy to get to the edges of the eye and to the bottom lashes. Additionally, it has the curve that gives your lashes a nice lift and curl. The length it gave me was also amazing, comparable to the Lash Sensational mascara which I thought couldn’t be beaten in that department.

Longevity
The mascara was also very long-lasting and didn’t crumble or flake under my eyes throughout the day. There was also no transfer on to my upper eyelid, which can be an issue for someone like me with such hooded eyes.

The only issue I had was clumpiness. I had to really work to avoid my lashes clumping together too much and even by the end I wasn’t entirely happy with the finish. My lashes were long, sure, but they hadn’t gained much in the way of volume. However, I think with a little more work, and perhaps a comb through with a lash comb this could be a really beautiful mascara.

It was also a little bit more work to take off, especially as I don’t like scrubbing my eyes too much. I found that the Simple Micellar Water did the job in the end though.

Conclusion
Therefore, if you want volume, this may not be for you. However, if you are looking for a really affordable (£7.99 from Boots/Amazon) and amazing lengthening mascara then I would definitely recommend checking out the new Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Angel Mascara. Let me know if you’ve tried it out!
